My first time going through Lake Helen was by accident. I was lost on I-4 and needed directions. I got off the highway and drove through this no stoplight town. I quickly found a plaza with a Pizza joint. My first impression was that this was no Pizza Hut. However, the staff made me feel like family and gave me the info I needed. I stayed to have a few slices and a drink. When I saw the bill, wow, I defenitly knew this wasn't Pizza Hut! I can't buy lunch this cheap even in my home town. I also got the pleasure of watching a couple ride their horses down the main road. As I left and stretched my leggs, I found a Craft store, and Gourmet Chocolate and candy store, along with produce market and haircut joint. Only $8 for a cut. Wow. I even got to by candy I haven't seen since I was a kid. If you want to get out of eating at the same fast food joints, go to Papa's and check out the little city! |
